This deals heavy damage but reduces the number of Tangled Growth tokens on the targets with some careful positioning, you can use this to remove tokens at the expense of some health. Tank heroes like the Man-At-Arms and the Leper can use Taunt to absorb most of the damage from the Dreaming General's attacks the Leper's ability to heal himself makes him a great choice for this since it will free up the Plague Doctor to spread Blight and buff attacks with Emboldening Vapors. Damage over time from Burn and Blight will work wonders to speed up the battle, as will Strength and Crit tokens wherever you can find them.

The need to spread your attacks between two targets combined with the Dreaming General's high HP can make this a long, draining fight, but if you manage the flow and tempo of the battle, you'll be able to come out on top.

None - attack the Tap Root to cause the vines to recede. If you can't land hits on the Tap Root behind the General, you're certain to lose this fight. Lastly - and this is key - have multiple attacks that can hit the rear rank. Blight also works decently well, so if by some miracle your Plague Doctor isn't busy healing the wounded she can apply additional persistent damage.

Having the Runaway in your party will make dealing with these foes much easier. The Lost Battalion - and, importantly, the Dreaming General - are susceptible to Burn.

The Highwayman's Highway Robberyskill is also useful for removing the large number of buffs the Battalion uses, and the upgraded version can even steal those buffs and apply them to the Highwayman. Be sure to equip at least one Skill that can clear corpses, such as the Graverobber's Dead of Night or the Leper's Purge while traversing the Tangle.

You'll be partially healed between floors, but if you aren't confident you can take the General down, you can always retreat before approaching him and try again on a different run.
